Kristen Meghan Kelly served 9 years on active duty in the United States Air Force as a Bioenvironmental Engineering technician, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. In this role, she was responsible for monitoring and evaluating environmental health hazards — including air quality, water quality, noise exposure, and chemical safety — to protect military personnel and surrounding communities.
During her service, Kristen became a two-time whistleblower — first against the military regarding environmental health concerns, and later against OSHA. Her willingness to speak truth to power, regardless of personal cost, established her as a fearless advocate for transparency and public health.
